Why Volunteer?


Joining FHVAC is a rewarding experience that lets you give back to your community while gaining valuable emergency medical skills. Our volunteers come from all walks of life — students, professionals, retirees — united by a desire to help others.


Requirements


  • Must be at least 18 years old (16 with parental consent)
  • Must be able to commit to regular shift schedules
  • Must complete EMT-B certification (we can help you get started)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must reside in or near Forest Hills, Queens

    Interested in joining? Fill out an application and attend our next orientation session. We hold orientations on the first Saturday of each month at our headquarters.
